OOTD: Prints

Blouse - H&M | Skirt - Zara sale | Coat - Forever 21 | Bag - H&M | Belt - River Island | Boots - Topshop | Earrings - House of Holland

New year, new wardrobe?...

Staying up until midnight for the Zara boxing day sale was so worth it for this navy Jacquard print skirt. So many ways of wearing it, day or night. It's definitely up there with my fave new additions to my new year wardrobe!

It's been a while since I've blogged with university work and life taking over and what not, but I'm gradually getting back into the swing of things so bare with me! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

OOTD: Blackout

Top - Nasty Gal | Faux leather trousers - Boohoo | Bag - Rings & Tings | Heels - JustFab | Born2Pansy nail polish - Jessica

I wore this outfit to Manchester to pick up my key to my new home for the next year and to go on a job hunting adventure at the Arndale, from which I managed to get an interview on Friday! So nervous!

This top was part of my first ever Nasty Gal purchase. Nasty Gal have always been a site I've gone to for my imaginary shopping sprees so I can't believe I've left it this long before buying from them!
I finally got my mitts on some faux leather trousers! I featured these beauties in my A/W13 wishlist a few posts back and at the price of only £20 I had to order them. The style of them is comparable to the AA disco pants being high waisted with the minimal button and back pockets.. just minus the amazing sucking-in power.

OOTD: Burgundy & Buckles

Black vest top - Topshop | Suede biker jacket - H&M | Jeans - Topshop | Bag - Rings & Tings

I don't think I've mentioned it yet on here yet, but i'm moving to Manchester on the 21st for University, which is so exciting! I wore this outfit to go shopping for the typical uni bits & bobs (cutlery, bed sheets blah blah blah) yesterday.
I've seen this bag appearing on a few other blogs lately. I fell in love with it and had to have it. I love the whole grungy yet classy look of it... so pretty.
Burgundy is a colour that makes an appearance basically every autumn/winter season so I went a bit matchy-matchy with the lipstick and this suede biker jacket from last year's H&M autumn range.

What do you think? What A/W trends are you sporting?

I 'heart' NY

'I heart NY' t-shirt - Empire State Building gift shop
Check coatigan - Topshop Boutique
Gold necklace - Topshop
Ripped boyfriend jeans - Topshop
Bag - Marc B
Creeper chelsea boots - ASOS Marketplace
If you follow my instagram (@girlwithclothes) you may have already seen this outfit as an ootd.
I wore this on saturday to Manchester for an applicant visit day at MMU, I had already been to two open days there but what's the harm in going again? I've had the offer to study International Fashion Promotion, I absolutely love the uni and the course... definitely my first choice! (just have to get the grades now, aaah!)
When I bought the t-shirt, this was the first way of styling it that I imagined! Pretty casual and boyfriend-y but jazzed up with the gold necklace and worn with a red lipstick... ta-dah!
Remember you can follow me on my new twitter: @girlwithclothes and instagram: girlwithclothes :)
Any more ideas of how you'd style the 'I heart NY' t-shirt? Let me know what you think of the look!

Hi guys, just another outfit post, I don't think i've done this many in a row before!

I'm off to America tomorrow for a week, i'm going skiing for 5 days in New Hampshire and 2 days in NYC at the end. I am so excited but sooo scared too! I've never been skiing before and I can just imagine i'll be spending the majority of the time falling over... wish me luck! I'm sure i'll be taking lots of photos (especially in New York) and hopefully do a post when I get back :)
On another note, since starting this blog i've been reading more beauty blogs as well as fashion blogs and been getting more interested in doing some more beauty posts.
I'd love to know what you guys think, would you like to see some occasional beauty posts? Let me know!

Tapestry

Panel dress - H&M
Tapestry blazer - River Island
Leggings - H&M
Pointed & studded shoes - Topshop
Not the most amazing of outfits but I thought i'd post it anyway :)
I used to wear black leggings ALL THE TIME, and I mean for every. single. outfit & I owned about 12 pairs (I'm certain I wasn't the only one)! But over the last couple of years i've gradually grown my wardrobe with jeans, skirts, dresses, tights etc. (I blame sixth-form and the lack of uniform for all the money spent), and I seem to never wear leggings anymore.
I was dedicated to wearing this dress this morning but it's much too tight & too long to wear with jeans yet too short to wear with tights, especially for wearing to sixth-form, hence the leggings making a comeback!

What do you think of this outfit?

Hint of Neon

Lacey rip jeans - Topshop
Acid wash T-shirt (one size larger) - ASOS
Neon yellow/green & black necklace - Topshop
Pointed & studded shoes - Topshop
Once again, a very Topshop and ASOS heavy outfit, my 2 go-to shops. I really need to start venturing out to other stores don't I?!
I took a trip to London on Wednesday to see Viva Forever at the Picadilly theatre, it was probably the cheesiest play I've ever seen, but I really enjoyed it! The Spice Girls were my absolute favourite group EVER when I was young. I knew every word to every song and thought I was a top choreographer (bare in mind I was 5 years old)! So hearing all the songs again really took me back to my childhood.
Anyway, while I was in London I just couldn't resist going to the Oxford Circus Topshop, resulting in the purchase of these jeans and necklace. I think this outfit would look great with some minimal strappy sandals (like these), but of course, I don't own any :(
What do you think of the outfit?

Burgundy & Disco

Crochet-style Jumper - Next
Black Disco Pants - American Apparel
Pointed & Studded Shoes - Topshop
Loop Necklace - Topshop
Brown Tote Bag - eBay

Exams are over, YAY! I can finally start putting more time into blogging!
My beauuutiful tote bag finally arrived and I couldn't love it more!  It's the perfect size and goes with almost everything, the price tag of £8.99 makes it that bit better too...
Sorry about the quality of the outfit photos, they're terrible, all down to my lil' old digital camera and crazy lighting in my room. I'm thinking about buying a new affordable camera so any recommendations would be great!

P.S. Remember you can get 10% off at Daisy Street by using the code 'Daisy10', and 20% off at Motel Rocks using 'girlwithclothes'! Happy shopping!

Florals in Winter

Crop Top - Topshop
Wet-look Skater Skirt - ASOS
Flatform Wedges - River Island via ASOS
Floral Kimono - ASOS
Clutch Bag - H&M

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't done an outfit post in a while, I've been living in leggings and hoodies at home for the last week as revision has taken over my life, and I'm sure that wouldn't make particularly interesting posts! From next Thursday (end of exams) onwards, I will dedicate a lot more time to blogging, I promise!
This was basically me trying out a bunch of outfits to wear with my new Topshop crop-top. I tend to do this a lot with new purchases...
If you read my last post you would know that wearing more colour is one of my new year's resolutions. So, although this is primarily black, the kimono is rather colourful!

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style the Topshop crop?

Forgotten Treasures

Faux fur collar coat (old) - New Look
Baggy batwing long-sleeved top (old) - ASOS
Spike necklace - Missguided
Flatform boots - River Island at ASOS
Bright blue Jeans (old from river island but similar here) - River Island
Bag from Marc B at TK Maxx - Marc B

First outfit post, yay! Most of the items in this outfit are old cause I tidied out my wardrobe over the weekend and found loads of old stuff I completely forgot I had!
I've actually been looking at the Marc B bags recently and considering buying a new one, forgetting that I already had a perfectly nice one in the bottom of my bag box.
I've been putting off wearing big coats yet this year, cause I'm in denial about it almost being the end of the year already, but I think the close to freezing temperatures are too much to just throw on a cardigan... So out came the old coats, including this one from New Look last year! I'm not usually so keen on New Look clothes but this coat is actually really nice, it's super warm and goes with almost anything.
