Dear Santa; Fashion Edition

Chuck Taylor Allstar Converse | Daniel Wellington Classic Sheffield Watch | American Apparel Riding Pants | Zara Sleeveless Coat | Prada Saffiano Leather Tote

I think I might be the only person on the planet that doesn't yet own a pair of converse (or equivalent)! It may be time now for me to jump in and see what all the fuss is about. I've gone for the classic white Chuck Taylors, you know, to stay on the safe side...

I'm the kind of person that even if I'm wearing a watch, I'll still check my phone for the time. I'm definitely lusting after a Daniel Wellington watch for how pretty it is rather than the functionality of it. It's just so classy and simple and would make any outfit look that little bit more luxe.

I'm a little bit wary of investing in the AA Riding Pants, looking at what happened with the disco pants, no doubt every 'affordable' store on the high street will be stocking them at a 10th of the price within a couple of months.
However, they are a great alternative to jeans, I'm loving the dark blue colour to branch out slightly from my very black wardrobe.

Now that the Manchester Zara has re-opened, I couldn't resist popping in and of course, I spotted THE sleeveless coat hiding away in the corner. I had to have a lot of self control to not try it on because I knew that if it looked as nice on as it does on the hanger then I'd be £129 poorer just like that.

Last but definitely not least, this Prada bag. No words. This is much more of a wish rather than a want, very unrealistic at the moment but maybe one day... positive thinking and all that!

Dear Santa; Beauty Edition

A couple of brushes I've wanted to add to my ever growing makeup brush collection are the Real Techniques setting brush and the Zoeva wing liner brush. I do have a few RT brushes and, of course, they've never disappointed but I'm yet to try out the Zoeva brand. I've been after an angled brush, mainly for doing eyebrows, for a while and I think this may just do the trick! Let me know if you've tried it and what you think?

Sadly, my lil' bottle of MAC studio fix fluid is coming to an end after being part of my daily make-up routine for a surprisingly long time.. but in perfect timing! Seeing as my skin turns very dry in the winter months, I'm after a foundation that isn't going to dry it out even more.. hence Nars sheer glow. I've heard only good things about this foundation so I'm pretty excited to try it out.

Sticking with the winter skin problems theme... dark circles.  Such a pain! Concealer alone never seems to be enough to cover them, plus the issue of creasing etc. so I think a good Bobbi Brown corrector will be the way to go.

Yes, I'm late to the Enrapture bandwagon, but I've had a bit of a break from my extensions over the last few months and my natural length hair really doesn't suit the curly style. However, just recently they've made their way back in and I feel like now is a great time to get involved with the totem styler excitement.

Just in the last 2 weeks I had my hair cut for the first time in over 2 years (terrifying experience), so I'm now in a desperate state for my hair to grow quickly, dreaming of long locks. I saw this '3 more inches' treatment a while back but the price tag is is tad bit scary at £29!

A/W13 Wishes

Silver wishbone ring - Shop Dixi | Bucket bag - Zara | Tartan tee - Topshop | Sports bra - Sweaty Betty | Cut out boots - Topshop | Bar necklace - Rings & Tings | Leather look trousers - Boohoo | GinZing moisturiser - Origins | Infinity midi rings - Shop Dixi

As much as I dislike the rainy and miserable autumn/winter weather, the trends certainly make up for it! These are my autumn/winter items that, if only I had endless funds, would be mine.

You may already know that i'm totally obsessed with my over-sized statement necklaces, however, this season I think I may be tempted to (temporarily) put away the chunky jewels and bring out the delicate rings and chains.
Shop Dixi certainly know how to do delicate and pretty with their range of rings and midi rings! I'm loving the wishbone and infinity designs in jewelry lately.. so cute.

The leather look is definitely something I think will be making a big appearance in this season's wardrobe. I've been on the hunt for some faux leather trousers since last autumn and finally, after searching high and low, I've found some that aren't the price of a small car! Boohoo never fail to impress with good products at good prices.

Tartan is another trend I think will be seen a whole lot this autumn and winter. I'm seriously lusting after this classic Topshop tee.

The one and only beauty product I'm desperate for this season is the Origins GinZing moisturiser. The winter really takes it's toll on my skin, making it dry and tight and just unbearable so it'll need some serious TLC in the upcoming months.

What's on your wishlist for this autumn/winter season?

January Wishlist(s)

So half way through making this wishlist I realised that everthing on it was either black, grey or navy, which is completely going against one of my new year's resolutions (wear more colour). It's just too easy to buy dark clothes as they go with everything! Nevertheless I still loved everything on there so I decided to come up with 2 wishlists, one dark and one colour...

Winter Darks...

1. Reim2 Strappy Studded Sandals - Topshop
2. Frankie Jacket by Goldie - Topshop
3. Motel Jetty Plunge Neck Dress - Motel Rocks
4.Short Military Coat - Zara
5. Transitional Bowler Hat - Topshop
6. Pineapple Dots Colour Contrast Jumper - Romwe
Pop of Colour...

1. Lace and Mesh Strapless Bra - Topshop
2. Lace and Mesh Mini - Topshop
3. Bright Lime Green Oversized Shirt - River Island

Motel Rocks!

1. Jeffrey Campbell 4 Evz Platform in Two Tone - £140
2. Motel Jet Plunge Neck Playsuit in Forest Green  - £48
3. Motel Donella High Waist Skinny Pant in Black - £42
4. Motel Hillary Strapless Body in Red Speckle Rose Print - £12 (SALE)
5. Pamela Mann Fish Net Ankle Socks - £3
6. Rock 'N Rose Pixie Lott CHARLIE-ANN Pearl Collar Necklace - £32

I recently became a member of the MotelRocks Street Team (how exciting!). If you don't know much about Motel, their clothes are very bold, printed, colourful, retro and everything in-between. The pieces in this wishlist are probably a few of the tamest on the website as I'm not really a bold print kinda gal, but who knows, I may become more confindent in wearing that kinda thing...

You guys can get a little something from my Street Team memebership too! Just enter 'GIRLWITHCLOTHES' at check-out whenever you purchase anything from MotelRocks and you'll receive a whopping 20% discount! (you're welcome ;)). You can use the code on all full price, Motel brand items on the website (which is almost all of it...).

What do you think of MotelRocks? Let me know what you purchase with the discount! :)

December Wishlist; Dear Santa,

I'm not entirely keen on the whole commercial side of Christmas being all about how many presents you get (money money money), so this year I've come up with a few things that I've been eyeing up and actually would quite like and get a lot of use out of...

Moroccan Hair Oil...

After seeing tonnes of reviews on beauty blogs and always seeing it in the fancy glass cabinets at the hair salon, I have decided that I need to try the wonder product that is MoroccanOil. I've only recently started using hair oils and product on my hair as it's in a horrific state with the bleached ombre. This is why I've only just considered trying it out. From reading reviews, I have only heard good things.
Do you use MoroccanOil? Let me know your thoughts on it!

Grey Herringbone Boyfriend Coat...

I love this coat!!! I've been lusting after it for ages now and it's just so perfect to wear with anything over winter. It would look great with a black fur stole (below) to add a little something to it...
I did feature this coat in my last post (here) to wear with a bodycon midi dress, chelsea boots, neon necklace and pork-pie hat, which I think would be a great chic way of styling it.

Black Faux Fur Stole...

I really don't understand why faux fur stoles are so expensive?! I know £25 isn't a fortune, but for what it is, it's quite a lot! I've been looking for a cheap one for quite a while and they're all a similar price.. boooo. I just think they can add so much to an otherwise dull outfit and as mentioned above, I would pair it with the grey RI coat.
If you know any stores that do similar stoles for cheaper then please let me know in the comments below!

Simple Black Heels...

I cannot believe I STILL don't own a pair of plain black heels! I'm ashamed... But now is the time it needs to change. I found these classic court heels on the New Look website. I've said it before, I'm not always keen on New Look's stuff but I have to admit, they do sell some decent heels at great prices!

Make-up Bag...

Last but not least... A Make-up Bag! (exctiting huh?!). My current make-up bag of about 2 years has just about had it. It's the Topshop drawstring make-up bag freebee that they gave away when spending £50+ in store a few years ago. It's covered in foundation/lipstick/eyeliner smudges, so I really think it's about time it got replaced.
I love the colour of this one from RI, lime/yellow is definitely one of my fave colours! They also do it in an orangey-brown.

Which is your favourite? What's on your Crimbo list this year?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

25.11.12

November Wish List

1. Romwe - Off Shoulder Lemon Pullover
2. Topshop - Thunder Lace Wedge Courts by CJG
3. Topshop - Pearl Gem Lace Corset Top
4. Romwe - Deer Head Golden Necklace
5. In Love With Fashion - LOVE Khaki Short Mesh Pleated Skirt With Lace Strapless Top

1. I've been trying to track down a neon jumper for aaages now and I finally came across this beauty at Romwe. It would look great with my American Apparel disco pants, worn half tucked in and my Chelsea boot creepers.

2. I am in LOVE with Chloe Jade Green's shoe collection for Topshop (CJG) and these lace-effect wedges are just beauuuutiful! The collection is a little on the pricey side but what do you expect from a designer shoe collection at Topshop?

3. I've been lusting after this bralet for a while now to wear at a dressy party over christmas but waiting it out until I actually know I have one to go to before splashing out. I'd wear it with a black jersey pencil skirt and some simple black platform heels.

4. When I came across this necklace on the Romwe website, it was love at first sight... I have a slight addiction to shorter statement necklaces at the moment and this one is no exception! You could wear this with a simple/casual outfit to make it look a tad more expensive or jazz up an LBD for a night out.

5. This is a great take on the khaki trend which is taking over every girls wardrobe this season. Usually the khaki garments are quite masculin or the army take on it, however this dress is taking the trend in a girlier direction with the lace over-lay on the bodice and the layered chiffon skirt.
